Woe, Is Me - Our Number[s] (feat. Jonny Craig)
Take I See Stars, add the layered screaming of early A Skylit Drive, add some distortion, dubstep, and a shitload of chaos and you’ve got yourself Woe, Is Me. This isn’t your typical electrocore band (i.e. NOT another Attack Attack! rip off), they have a style all their own. The electronics do play a big part in their sound but it’s not a cheap gimmick, they’ve also got crunchy guitars and atmospheric screaming that I haven’t heard since A Skylit Drive’s debut EP. Plus, their singer, Tyler Carter, kid can sing. Case in point, Jonny Craig is in this song, and he doesn’t steal it. Only time I’ve ever heard this happen. These guys are gonna make a name for themselves. I can tell.
P.S. The album comes out tomorrow.
The Receiving End of Sirens - The Salesman, The Husband, The Lover
Baby boy had a big old heart
Large enough to tear apart
Split evenly in two
Evenly in two
Mom and Dad had a rocky start
Too much head, too little heart
Soon one turned into two
One, two
Dirty hands made separate beds
And folded sheets in which they slept
Oh, what’s a boy to do?
What’s a boy to do?
When Daddy finds ten dollar whores
And liquor stores
Can offer more than his family
Than his friends
More than a woman that he wed
“Oh no, what a shameful seed I’ve sown.”
Then one day daddy walked away
From his wife, the child they had made
It must have been too much
It must have been too much
Mommy tried her best to pay
The bills so that her son could stay
In the house that he was raised
The sons fight the father’s war
Love for his heels
(The place where love grew too old)
He walked out the door
Left his son to fight his war
(Too old and broken to appraise)
Left his son to fight his war
You shadow, you ghost
(The place where love grew too old)
Look how crooked I’ve grown
What a shameful seed you’ve sown
(Too old and broken)
What a seed you’ve sown
Court ordered visits meant weekends with his Dad
Where he had learned his share of lessons
On how to drink like his old man
Back home his mother packed her bags
And the dreams that she watched down
For a single room apartment in the seedy part of town
Baby boy became the dad
His family had always lacked
A spitting image of the man
Down to the way he turned his back
He inherited his cheating
An heir to his drunken breath
His father willed him arrogance
And passed down his empty chest
Love for his heels
(The place where love grew too old)
He walked out the door
Left his son to fight his war
(Too old and broken to appraise)
Left his son to fight his war
You shadow, you ghost
(The place where love grew too old)
Look how crooked I’ve grown
What a shameful seed you’ve sown
(Too old and broken)
What a seed you’ve sown
“Be a lightbulb”
I’m a wishbone
“Be a rifle, a telephone”
I’m just here for you to use
I’ve got nothing left to lose
I’m the wardship battle
I’m the remnants of the precious metals
That weigh you both down
We are heavied, oh so heavy
We are heavied, oh so heavy
Love for his heels
(The place where love grew too old)
He walked out the door
Left his son to fight his war
(Too old and broken to appraise)
Left his son to fight his war
You shadow, you ghost
(The place where love grew too old)
Look how crooked I’ve grown
What a shameful seed you’ve sown
(Too old and broken)
What a seed you’ve sown
HOLY SHIT.

Lyrics:
You got me like oh my gosh, I’m so in love
I found you finally
I could really use a wish right now, a wish right now, a wish right now
You make me wanna say oh my gosh, I’m so in love I found you finally
I could really use a wish right now, a wish right now, a wish right now
Cuz’ I know a place
Where the grass is really greener
Warm, wet, and wild
There must be something in the water
And what you got is hard to find
I think about it all the time
I’m all strung up, my heart is fried
I just can’t get you off my mind
You could travel the world
But nothing comes close to the golden coast
If you party with us,
You’ll be falling in love,
Oh, oh, oh
California girls, they’re unforgettable
Your love, your love, your love is my drug
Sun kissed skin, so hot they’ll melt your popsicle,
Your love your love your love
Has both hands in her pocket
And so many ways to love you
She hides true love en su bolsillo
With so many ways to love you,
I fell in love with shawty when I seen her on the dance floor,
But she won’t look at you, won’t look at you
She was dancing sexy, pop, pop, popping, dropping dropping
With a halo round her finger, around you
And oh, she’s got it all,
And this point I gotta choose, nothing to lose,
And I want it all, it all, it all
Can we pretend that Airplanes in the night sky
Are like shooting stars
Don’t call my name, don’t call my name, Alejandro
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky
Are like shooting stars,
I’m not your babe, I’m not your babe, Alejandro
Alejandro, -o —o —o —o, Oh my gosh
-o —o —o —o —o —o
Oh!
I said your love, your love, your love is my drug
West coast represent now put your hands up
Oh oh oh oh oh oh my gosh
California girls, don’t wanna kiss, don’t wanna touch
Just one more cigarette hush
Your love, your love, your love makes me wanna say
Oh my gosh, I’m so in love
I found you finally
I could really use a wish right now, a wish right now, a wish right now
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I SHAT SKYSCRAPERS.

On the note of Zombies I leave you with a track off of The Devil Wears Prada’s Zombie EP. This is some heavy shit. And because of it I’m on a zombie kick.
